guys turning left

nascar.

what can i say.

i just got back from two weeks in mexico (images to come once i have time to look through them all) and the first thing i shoot is three days of guys making left turns. it wasn't/isn't a terrible assignment, but it is a long hard three days of work. walking all over the place, waiting for drivers to come out of their trailers, and standing in line for mediocre food.

friday, i am walking back to my car happy to hear i get to go home early for the evening only to find out that my car won't start. i hold myself back from throwing my 400 as far as i can and set out to find some help. you would think it would be easier to find jumper cables at a race track. finally a really nice cop helped me out and i was on my way. i come back on saturday (after installing a new battery in my car) hoping that the gremlins will leave me alone for the day. no such luck.....my 17-35 broke (after i dropped it) and then my mac would not boot up. grrrrr, i had no way to transmit the images i was about to shoot on deadline. oh well at least it is a story i can tell and you get to laugh at me. wooo hooo.

welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
(in my best welcome back carter voice)
